House Fire - Family of 6
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sean. I am here on behalf of a family(6 involved, 7 total members) that just suffered through a house fire as of 12/19/23; Thankfully, no one was injured. I have known the father since childhood and I consider them all my family. The parents are hardworking, self-made, break-their-backs for anyone, ask-for-nothing type of people. They bought this house just a few years ago and were very proud of it, they made it a very welcoming place for friends and a comfortable place for the children to live.
The family as a whole has been through many hardships and they always endure, usually on their own. We all are struggling, times are hard, things are way more expensive and then imagine, you have this happen to you. This particular event is too much for anyone to just bounce back immediately from, especially this day and age. Christmas is around the corner, and they all have this lingering over their heads now. This is a terrible incident at one of the worst times of the year. If I can, I want to ease their suffering as much as possible.
The fire left them at a total loss, very few things were salvageable. There are currently a lot of unknowns still on what is going to happen, where the family is going to stay, what is getting covered, how long all of this is going to take, how they are going to get clothes/food/essentials for an undetermined period. For now, they have a temporary residence but it won't last for long, maybe a few days, hopefully longer, they do not know. The parents had to take time off of work, so their income is going to take a hit. They have two teens and two young ones they must continually take care of, bills are still going to be rolling in. Their responsibilities are not going to stop just because of this.
I am asking for anyone with any amount to help them. Go Fund Me made me type an amount in, but I have no idea what to ask for them. I don't know what they are going to encounter during this time, so I just put in 10k. There is no actual goal, as I said, I just want to give them as much help as possible. No one deserves this, but they definitely do not, they work too hard to make a great life for the family. Again, times are tough for everyone but if you find a couple of bucks that you can spare, it would be greatly appreciated. I hope by the time Dec. 25 rolls around, they can sit down and take a breath for a minute, maybe even have a few gifts for the kids to open up. It would give them a bit of normality, if only for a few moments.
If you can help with more, you would be doing a great service because there are so many unknowns still in their future. Mainly, having a place to stay, keeping warm during these frigid December days and nights as well as keeping food in their bellies.
If you cannot help, it is completely understandable, have a Merry Christmas and thank you for at least taking the time out of your day to read through.
