Hayley’s Hill
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Rick and I’m here asking for some community spirit and support as I try and raise funds whilst hiking from Canberra to Walhalla on the Australian Alpine Trail.
Recently, the Morris family- Hayley, Wayne, Banjo (4) Lottie (2) and Eden (8 months) received the heartbreaking news that Hayley (32) has developed stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Tragically, there is no cure. It is a matter of making the most of the time they have together as a family. You could not meet more beautiful or kindhearted people. They would drop anything for anyone so now it's our turn to help out! Any donation, big or small, would be helpful whether you know the Morris family, have been touched by the devastation of cancer yourself or simply understand the challenge ahead for this young family. Some extra funds would relieve the pressure of household and medical bills that will keep coming during Hayley’s treatment and would mean that Wayne could have more time off work to support Hayley and the kids.
I will be departing on April 2nd in Canberra, traversing through the Australian Alps, aiming to complete the 680km trail in 23 days, finishing in Walhalla. This is Australia's longest single trail and home to some of Australia's best untouched land. I'm in full training mode and hope to raise as much as I can in the lead up to the finish date in late April. I'll be posting updates along the way and will accept challenges to encourage donations.
Let’s dig deep and help a local Gippsland family who would do the same for any of us!
