Hi everyone,

I am over the moon to announce I have been selected to be part of Team Scotland at the 20th International Womens Weightlifting Grad Prix in Wels, Austria this August.

This is a women only event and we have a fantastic group of strong women attending to represent Scotland! This will be the first time Scotland has put forward a team for this competition since 2013.

I am so grateful to be given this opportunity and I am so excited to compete at my first international competition.

Weightlifting is a growing sport, particularly amongst females who have been traditionally underrepresented in strength-based sports. This is a fantastic chance for us to represent Women in Scotland and hopefully encourage more girls and women to participate in the sport.

This is entirely self funded, donations and fundraising will help get the team to Austria and cover our entry fees and other associated costs such as travel etc.
