On December 28, 2025, our family received the phone call no family should ever have to receive.

Hayley, a daughter, a sister, a friend to many had been struck by a car, not just struck but held underneath until rescued. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. In that moment, our worst nightmare became reality.

Doctors explained that her injuries were severe: multiple broken bones, including her ribs, back, and pelvis, along with a collapsed lung. But when they told us that her heart had stopped at the scene, that CPR had been performed for an extended period of time , our world stopped too. Though the doctors never said the words out loud, we knew they were preparing us for the possibility that we might lose her.

The pain, fear, and helplessness we felt in those moments is something we would never wish on anyone.

Our Hayley is strong, her spirit is courageous, and her fight for life is undeniable. Her strength is shown in that fight. Against all odds, she is still here.

While we are endlessly grateful, her journey is far from over.

She has a long and difficult road ahead, including extensive rehabilitation that will be a critical part of her recovery. The physical, emotional, and financial toll is overwhelming. Our goal is to ensure that when she comes home, she is met with stability, support, and the care she needs, not stress, debt, or uncertainty.

We are asking for help to support her rehabilitation, ongoing medical needs, and basic living expenses as we navigate this next chapter together. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and help us focus on what truly matters: her healing.
