In Loving Memory of Hayes Naya Kwabena

Hayes wasn’t just a friend, he was a brother to every single person blessed enough to know him. He had a heart that was bigger than anything life could throw at him. The kind of person who would give, protect, and love without ever asking for anything in return. Losing him has broken something in all of us.

At only 27 years old, just days away from turning 28, Hayes was taken from us far too soon. Born November 25, 1997 and passing on November 17, 2025, he faced an aggressive and rare cancer with a level of courage and optimism that inspired those around him. Even while his body was hurting, his first thoughts were always about everyone else, his friends, his family, the people he cared about. He fought with everything he had, and he still managed to shine.

The pain his family and friends feel is indescribable. His absence is loud. His presence is missed in every room, every conversation, every memory. With his mother’s blessing, we created this GoFundMe to wrap his family in the love and support Hayes always gave to us. We want to ease the heavy financial burden they’re carrying and give our brother the beautiful tombstone and memorial he deserves, something that reflects the love he gave this world.
