- Hi, my name is Jennifer Scott. My daughter, Lily was expecting her first little girl on February 12, 2024. What started out as a wonderful pregnancy seemingly overnight turned challenging at just 33 weeks gestation. Lily was admitted to the hospital with severe pre-eclampsia on December 27, 2023. Due to increasing health challenges, doctors felt it necessary to induce on Janaury 1, 2024. Baby Maven was born on January 2nd and immediately rushed into the NICU where she remains intubated. Baby Maven will most likely be in the NICU for several weeks, according to doctors. Lily herself remains hospitalized with an unknown discharge date, as she continues to battle these very acute health challenges. As you can imagine, this is all extremely unexpected and very emotional for Lily and family. On top of it all, the family learned that their health insurance is not covering as much as anticipated. The bills are quickly racking up for both Lily and her baby girl. I have created this fundraising effort to help offset some of the costs and help ease some of the financial burden for them. I know Lily means so much to so many and several people have already reached out asking how they can support. If you find it in your heart to donate, this would do so much for her and the baby.
