My name is Hayden Webb and I have been a trainee professional at the Settlers Run Golf and Country Club for the past 3 years. I grew up in the small town of Holbrook in NSW where I learnt to play the game of golf and to appreciate the smaller beauties in life that country shows you. Many years later and endless hours of practice down the track I am now faced with some exciting opportunities to branch out across the world with my golf game.
As my time comes to an end as a trainee and working at Settlers Run I have made the decision to pursue my dreams of a career playing the national and international golf circuit. I have had a successful career as a trainee including trainee of the year in my first year, 8 victories and more than 50 top 10 finishes.
Pursuing a career as a professional golfer can be an expensive venture with numerous costs such as entry fees, travel expenses and the cost of maintaining my game at a high level around the world. A simple 2 month trip planned to Canada next year will cost me in excess of $12000. I plan to stay in Canada for up to 4 months and beyond that to Japan for some time; as well as travel and coaching expenses when home in Austrlia playing events this creates for an expensive start to my playing career when chances of making money are difficult.
For this reason I have set up this page and a fundraising day to be held on Saturday 20th January at Settlers Run GCC. These fundraisers are a chance for you to be able to assist me in starting my professional career. I hope over the past 4 years I have worked at Settlers Run and before that in my time living in Holbrook that I have positively influenced your experience and you see me as someone worthy of your support. For some this support may not be in the form of money but I can assure you that in all cases I appreciate what you have to offer.
Entry for the fundraising day will be $100 per player as seen on the entry forms circulating Settlers Run. This entry is to be paid via this donation site and for anyone who wishes to donate more than that amount their extra support is ever so greatly appreciated. For anyone else who may not be able to play on the day, you are still most welcome to donate as every dollar will help me to be able to play for longer and with less worry of how I can get to the next event.
