Hayden's surgeries and long-term rehabilitation
Donation protected
Will you please support Hayden and her family as they prepare for the journey and challenges ahead? On Friday, September 20, while riding her bike home from school, 11-year-old Hayden was hit by a car. She suffered severe injuries, including a skull fracture. She underwent cranial surgery which stabilized her condition, but she remains in the PICU.

Hayden woke from her coma on the 28th, and we now wait to understand the extent of her brain injuries. There will be some permanent effects, but we can still tell that she is in there, too. In the coming weeks, she will be moved to an in-patient rehabilitative center.

Hayden is a fighter and she is working hard to recover. She still has a long way to go, but we know she will pull through. We don’t know what her new normal will be, but we will reach it together – Hayden, her family, and all of you. Your support, prayers, hopes and good wishes for Hayden are very appreciated and needed during this time.
