Many of you know the unfortunate event that took place last Saturday August 15th regarding my son, Hayden and the purchase of his first car. We are so frustrated & saddened by the SCAM that took place & the complete loss of ALL Hayden's hard earned money. I wasn't sure if this was the appropriate path to take, asking for help... but when others came forward saying they would contribute if we started one.. I felt compelled to give it a try! Evil is all around us. But I serve a God that is BIGGER and can take the worst hardest situations and turn it into something beautiful.
We understand 2,500 is a very tall order. Any amount will help to lighten the blow and will be so greatly appreciated.

Last Saturday my 17 year old son was SCAMMED by Benjamin Schmidtke. This Madison resident LIED to us about the overall safety, status and YEAR of the car my son purchased. Obviously, we understand there are risks buying privately, but this person deliberately went out of his way to deceive us. He jimmy-rigged the car to run smoothly for the test drive, but once money was handed over and the gas placed in tank... everything went horribly wrong. My son's dad was driving it back home from Madison. Not even a mile down the highway it started sputtering. Cars pulled up next to them to let them know they were leaking something. Come to find out GAS was flying out the car like a hose! I praise God the car did not catch on fire and no one was hurt!! They had to have it towed to a local dealership only to find out that in order to fix it, it was going to cost the same amount my son paid for it! We are just beside ourselves and saddened that this man decided to scam a child and take all his hard earned money he had saved up for his FIRST CAR.
Benjamin Schmidtke would not answer ANY of our calls or texts once we learned of the real condition of the car he sold us. He took the money and RAN!
Our spirits are down...ESPECIALLY Hayden's, and are feeling very overwhelmed, not sure what to do? Praying for God's Hand.
Please pray for Hayden and our family that God can use this to His glory and find a way out of this horrible situation. Thank you & God bless!
