Memorial Gathering for Marine Sergeant Hayden Steingold, 24, of Greenacres, FL will be held from 5:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Quattlebaum Funeral and Event Center in West Palm Beach, FL. His Committal Service with Military Honors will be held the following week at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
Hayden was born on March 22, 1999 and raised in Louisiana. After high school Hayden and his family moved to Florida where he received his degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He joined the Marines at the age of 19 and re-enlisted at 22, serving a total of 6 years. Marine Sgt. Steingold was attached to the 5th Air Naval Gun Fire Liaison Company, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Hayden passed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Okinawa, Japan. He loved God, family, friends, his Marine brothers and the life he was building in Okinawa. Hayden was the epitome of a Marine; honest, genuine, courageous, disciplined and above all kind-hearted. He was a lover of nature, adventure and his motorcycle. Hayden did everything by the book, smiled while he was doing it and was always willing to help those around him.
He was a well-honored and decorated Marine. He received The Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (NAM), for his exceptional achievements as a Marine. Hayden was also accepted into MSG School and was set to start in December 2024. A Marine has to be chosen by his superiors to be accepted into Marine MSG School and it comes with great honor.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cherie and Steven Steingold; his sister, Hana Steingold; numerous other family, friends, and brave Marines he served beside. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Hayden’s Marine Corps brothers and sisters and closest friends for their unwavering support during this most difficult time. They are forever grateful for your love and dedication to their beloved Hayden. There are some who bring a light so bright to the world, that when they are gone, their light remains. Hayden’s light will continue to shine forever. We love you beyond measure Hayden, and will forever hold you in our hearts.
