This go fund me is in support of Hayden and the Smith family to help ease the financial burden as he battles Cancer . On June 6th the day after Haydens 15th birthday he was taken by his dad Chris to hospital with what was thought to be lingering effects from a COVID infection he had the month prior. After arriving and seeing the Dr he was sent for what were thought to be routine tests. It was quickly determined that it was far more serious than that, and that he had a significant amount of fluid on his lungs. He was rushed to a larger Childrens hospital in the neighbouring city, and required several surgeries and a chest tube to be inserted to drain the fluid. After a ton testing in hospital over the following weeks it was determined that the real cause of all Haydens issues was actually cancer and he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He has since started treatment which consists of chemotherapy that is given in the neighbouring city and will continue for a minimum of several months to start. Dad and mom being by his side for support will be critical in his recovery, Chris is really more than just Haydens dad they’re best friends and inseparable. This fund will enable him to be there with him with whatever he needs in his treatment and recovery.
