Help Hayden represent Team USA in Bodysurfing at Worlds

Hi Friends & Family!

With the help of my mom, I am raising money to get to Coolum, Australia, at the end of April this year, April 26th till May 9th to be exact. You might be asking yourself, “Why Coolum?” Well, I made it onto the 2025 Team USA for the IBSA Bodysurfing World Tour Finals!

This, as you can imagine, is a huge moment for me. To be competing on the world level is seriously a dream come true and not something that happened overnight. I've been bodysurfing for the past 9 years and just really started becoming competitive in the sport a little over a year ago. I have been lucky enough to travel to Northern California to compete in different competitions, on the beaches I grew up going to before moving to Huntington Beach in 2013.

This past year, I won Grand Champion at a competition in Del Mar with two back-to-back waves that were over 9 points; this gave me a combined score of 18.67 points! I was told this was the highest score anyone has seen in years, let alone having it be from two back-to-back waves, in one competition, and in one heat.

Over the years of being in the water all up the coast of California, I've met some really amazing people and had some pretty epic opportunities. Some of the most memorable and meaningful experiences I've been lucky to have are meeting and becoming family with the boys that run Sandy's Beach on Oahu, getting interviewed on KLTA news for bodysurfing 20 ft waves at the Wedge, and making amazing new friendships with all the people I've been in the water with. I am also going into my second summer of being a California State Lifeguard at Huntington State Beach and Bolsa Chica State Beach, something I had been working towards since I was 9 when I started the Huntington Beach State Jr. Lifeguard Program every summer. I would love nothing more than to represent not only myself and my family at Worlds, but also the city I live in and the state I work for.

Any amount of help to try and get me to the World Tour to represent Team USA would be greatly appreciated, as unfortunately, it is a fully self-funded trip.
