On Saturday 25th January, 2025, from 11am, a Memorial Service will be held at The Anglers Rest in Brooklyn, NSW, to celebrate the life of Hayden David John McKenzie. A young man any mother would be very proud of to call her own! Love you forever, Son! Mum.

On 30/11/2024, Hayden passed suddenly & unexpectedly. He went to bed & did not wake.

When the Forensic Scientists examined his body, they said that his heart was enlarged. (We always knew he had the biggest heart) The Coroner's report merely states - Cardiac Arrest.

The tears haven't stopped flowing since that Saturday!

I felt sick! I still do!

I had only been speaking to my son less than 48 hours earlier.

Hayden was talking about his plans for the future, the upcoming holidays, the possibility of seeing his son, Toby, & taking him on the road trip with us, the "promise" ring he had collected from a jewelry store days earlier. I ribbed him about the potential proposal & he denied it jokingly! (The ring cost him a chunk of money! He was going to pop the question! Mum's just know!)

Tragically, he will no longer get to ask! He won't get to take that much needed Holiday. He is going to miss out on a lot of firsts!

He was our keeper! He protected us & made sure we always felt safe!

He was also the sole provider in his household & has left his partner, Angel, a New Zealand born non-citizen (unable to claim any support from our Government for at least 2 years) & his daughter, Millie, without his full-time income & only a family tax benefit to survive on!

Please help me give my son the funeral service he deserves, I am one person & there is only so much I can do alone!
