Nos dirigimos a vosotros, con corazones llenos de preocupación y esperanza buscando apoyo para nuestro hijo Fabio de 11 años. Desde el día en que nació, hemos enfrentado muchos obstáculos junto con él. De hecho, debido a una negligencia médica, por falta de oxígeno durante el nacimiento, nació con parálisis cerebral y, a causa de este error, presenta crisis epilépticas y deterioro cognitivo progresivo.

Al recibir el devastador diagnóstico inicial de parálisis cerebral, nuestras vidas han sufrido un cambio brutal y nuestro único objetivo ha sido, es y siempre será luchar para que Fabio pueda tener una vida lo más normal e independiente posible. Nuestro hijo nunca ha dejado de luchar cada día de su vida desde que llegó al mundo, emprendiendo una valiente batalla con todo tipo de terapias. Fabio es un niño muy especial y fuerte, y nosotros como padres no podríamos estar más orgullosos de nuestro pequeño gran campeón. Como lo haría cualquier padre, le brindamos todo el apoyo y amor que necesita para enfrentar sus desafíos, lo acompañamos en cada paso del camino y celebramos cada hito que alcanza. Su fuerza y ​​determinación, junto con nuestro amor inquebrantable, fueron la fuerza impulsora que nos empujó a superar obstáculos y limitaciones en cada paso de su viaje.

Ahora hemos llegado a un momento crucial en la vida de Fabio. Quizás uno de los pasos más difíciles de dar y la decisión más importante y difícil de toda nuestra vida. Los médicos recomendaron una cirugía para tratar la epilepsia de nuestro pequeño, un procedimiento necesario que implica desconectar parte de su cerebro, llamado hemisferectomía. Consiste en desconectar el hemisferio afectado por la epilepsia del resto del cerebro, con el objetivo de reducir significativamente la frecuencia de las crisis epilépticas o eliminarlas por completo. Todo ello para prevenir daños futuros, detener los actuales y mejorar su calidad de vida. Sin embargo, el coste de esta operación ronda los 50.000 euros. Nos entristece y frustra que, lamentablemente, esta cantidad esté fuera de nuestro alcance financiero, haciéndonos sentir impotentes.

Con el corazón lleno de esperanza y humildad, recurrimos a vuestra generosidad y solidaridad en busca de cualquier forma de colaboración que podáis ofrecernos para que Fabio pueda acceder a esta operación que cambiará su vida. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, será recibida con gran agradecimiento y supondrá un gran paso adelante en el camino de recuperación de nuestro hijo Fabio.

Nuestra única motivación es garantizar el bienestar y la salud de Fabio. Su madre lleva más de diez años implicada en diversas asociaciones en favor de él y de otros niños como él, y nunca se cansará de poder seguir ofreciendo su experiencia a aquellos padres que se sienten perdidos en tan triste camino y que necesitan apoyo. Profesional y personalmente, sabiendo que hay padres que han pasado por el mismo difícil camino.

Sin dal giorno in cui è nato, abbiamo affrontato molti ostacoli insieme a lui. Infatti, a causa di una negligenza medica, una mancanza di ossigeno durante la nascita, è nato con paralisi cerebrale e, a causa di questo errore, ha crisi epilettiche e un deterioramento cognitivo progressivo.

Ricevendo la devastante diagnosi iniziale di paralisi cerebrale, la nostra vita ha subito un cambio brutale e il nostro unico obiettivo è stato, è e sarà sempre quello di lottare affinché Fabio possa avere una vita il più normale e indipendente possibile. Ora siamo arrivati a un momento cruciale nella vita di Fabio. Forse uno dei passi più difficili da affrontare e la decisione più importante e difficile di tutta la nostra vita. I medici hanno raccomandato un intervento chirurgico per trattare l'epilessia del nostro piccolo, un intervento necessario che implica il disconnettere una parte del suo cervello, e che si chiama Emisferectomia. Consiste nel disconnettere l'emisfero colpito dall'epilessia dal resto del cervello, con l'obiettivo di ridurre significativamente la frequenza delle crisi epilettiche o eliminarle completamente. Tutto ciò per prevenire danni futuri, fermare i danni attuali e migliorare la sua qualità di vita.Tuttavia, il costo di questa operazione si aggira intorno ai 50.000 euro. Ci rattrista e frustra il fatto che, purtroppo, questa somma è al di fuori della nostra portata economica facendoci sentire impotenti.

We are coming to you with a heart full of concern and hope for support for our 11-year-

old son, Fabio. Since the day he was born, we have faced many challenges together

with him. In fact, due to medical negligence, a lack of oxygen during his birth, he was

born with cerebral palsy, and as a result of this error, he has epileptic seizures and

progressive cognitive impairment.

Upon receiving the devastating initial diagnosis of cerebral palsy, our life took a brutal

turn and our only goal has been, is and always will be to fight so that Fabio could have

a normal and independent life as possible. Our child has not stopped fighting every day

of his life since he came into this world, waging a brave battle by doing all kinds of

therapies. Fabio is a very special and strong kid, and we, as his parents couldn’t be

more proud of our big little champion. As any parent would do, we provide him the

support and love necessary to meet his challenges, accompany him on every step and

celebrate each achievement. His strength and determination, together with our

unwavering love have been the engine that has driven us to overcome obstacles and

limitations in every step of his path.

We have now in a crucial moment in Fabio’s life. Perhaps one of the most difficult steps

to go through and the most important and difficult decision in all our life. Doctors have

recommended a special surgery to treat his epilepsy. A necessary intervention that

involves disconnecting part of his brain and is called hemispherectomy. It consists of

disconnecting the hemisphere affected by epilepsy from the rest of the brain, with the

aim of significantly reducing the frequency of seizures or eliminating them completely.

All this to prevent future damage, stop current damage and improve his quality of life.

However, the cost of this surgery is approximately 50.000 euros. We are saddened and

frustrated that, unfortunately, this sum is beyond our economic reach making us feel

powerless.

With a heart full of hope and humility, we turn to your generosity and solidarity in

operation that will change his life. Any help, however minimal, will be received with

Our only motivation is to ensure the well-being and health of Fabio. His mother has

und wir als Eltern könnten nicht stolzer auf unseren kleinen großen Champion

sein. Wie jeder Vater, bieten wir ihm die Unterstützung und Liebe, die er braucht,

um seine Herausforderungen zu meistern, begleiten ihn auf jedem seiner

Schritte und feiern jeden Erfolg, den er erreicht. Ihre Kraft und Entschlossenheit,

Vielleicht einer der schwierigsten Schritte, die wir gehen müssen und die

wichtigste und schwierigste Entscheidung unseres ganzen Lebens. Die Ärzte

haben eine Operation empfohlen, um die Epilepsie unseres kleinen Kindes zu

behandeln, eine notwendige Intervention, die beinhaltet, einen Teil seines
