On May 31st Jen and her daughter Ava suffered a devastating loss when their home experienced an electrical fire. While we're all grateful that there was no loss of life, Jen and Ava have been displaced as their home is a total loss. I am starting this fundraiser to help them rebuild their life.

I have known Jen since March of 2009 when I bought my condo. I chose my condo based on two reasons. The first one being I liked that there was no unit behind my deck and the second reason being the realtor suggested this building because just two doors down was another single mom with a daughter who was a year younger than Ky. The realtor said she had a feeling we would become the best of friends and the girls as well. Ky and Ava became fast friends over the years, while Jen and I were grateful to have the other child always around. When we needed a “sibling” to keep the girls busy we would just text each other and off the girls went to play Barbie’s, dolls, gymnastics, ride bikes, sledding, building snowmen and as they got older Jen has taken on the roll of taxi driver for Ky when I'm in a pinch.

Jen and Ava have been a big part of our lives over the last 15 years. Jen is the type of person to help anyone out that needs it. She is a Girl Scout leader, a dance mom, a good listener and the best to just hop in the car and go for a road trip with…
