Hello beautiful humans —
We are a bunch misfits based in London — mostly just a group of people who probably drink too much and thought signing up for a 10km, Half Marathon or Full Marathon in Royan, France, on the 24th May 2025, sounded like a great idea at the time.
Some of us have powered through a full 16-week training plan. Others are just planning to turn up on the day and hope for the best. Whether we're clocking kilometres or counting down to croissants at the finish line, we're doing this together — not just for ourselves, but for two causes very close to our hearts.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) – Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research. Their mission? Zero Deaths from Breast Cancer.
Breast cancer has touched every one of us — through our families, our friends, our loved ones. We’re running for those we’ve lost, those still fighting, and the future we hope for.
Lend Us Some Muscle – a global challenge raising funds for research into Friedreich Ataxia (FA), a rare, degenerative neuromuscular disorder that affects children and young adults.
It causes muscle weakness, fatigue, heart disease, and loss of mobility. There’s no cure — yet — but scientists are getting close. Every donation helps fund the clinical trials and research that will one day change lives.
All money raised will be split evenly between the two charities.
We’re giving up (some) pub nights, braving early runs, and pushing our limits — because some things are worth sweating for.
Please donate if you can, share our story, and cheer us on as we sprint, stumble, or drag ourselves across the finish line — all for love, hope, and maybe a well-earned glass of wine.
With love, dodgy knees, and mild dehydration,
Hawks French Running Crew x
