Help the Hawkins family

My name is Olivia Jenssen and I have created this fund on behalf of my cousin Nadine, her partner Jesse, and their newborn son, Leeland. Nadine and Jesse were glowing new parents, enjoying time together as a family, until two weeks ago when Nadine woke up feeling nauseous and dizzy. When symptoms persisted, Nadine knew something was wrong. After a week of being in and out of the hospital, and after two incorrect diagnoses, a slew of tests and brain scans were run, and doctors discovered the source of Nadine's symptoms to be a small tumor in her brain. 


After days of being unable to see her son, Nadine was released from the hospital. She is now home with her family, and has been prescribed medication to take for 3 weeks that should reduce swelling enough for doctors to biopsy the tumor and determine the next step. Unfortunately Nadine is still experiencing severe loss of balance, dizziness, and nausea. She is unable to feed Leeland herself due to the medication, and is struggling to complete basic tasks. To make matters worse, Jesse, who has been happily working 6 days a week to support his family, was unexpectedly laid off last week. This could be a blessing in disguise, if we are able to raise enough money for Jesse to temporarily stay home and care for Nadine and Leeland, as they have a very small support system.


This fund is intended to help Nadine, Jesse, and Leeland pay for living expenses, food and necessities, childcare expenses, and any additional uncovered medical expenses that may arise.
