Welcome to the Wings Museum Hawker Siddeley Kestrel XS694 gofundme page.
In 2018 we managed to acquire and import 694 back from the USA where the aircraft was in a dire state of repair.
694 unfortunately suffered a crash landing in 1967 when it was in NASA’s hands and was parted out for spares due to the extensive damage that was caused.
We are now restoring 694 to its former glory, the restoration will take place in stages and we are starting with the cockpit first.
We have managed to acquire an early Pegasus 3 engine for 694 and this will be placed back into the aircraft in the future. Other major items that have been acquired are most of the undercarriage.
694 first flew on the 10th December 1964 from Dunsfold Aerodrome, it was then shipped to the USA on the 11th January 1966 as 64-18268 and assigned to Eglin AFB, FL.
On the 23 July 1966 the aircraft was assigned to the NASA Langley Research Center, Langley Field, VA.
Unfortunately 694 then crash landed on the 27th August 1967.
The aircraft was then parted out for spares to service the remaining Kestrels.
When we found 694 she was in the hands of a private owner that had found her in a paintball field.
We are looking for all sort of spares for the aircraft and this page is to help fund the purchase of the rare major items.
