Hawa’s Family Fund

Hello, I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my colleague and close friend Hawa Abdullahi. Hawa was recently hospitalized after receiving an eviction notice and will need to take time off work to recover. This fundraiser is to show support financially to Hawa to ensure she and her family can avoid eviction and stay ahead of their many expenses. All funds will go to Hawa and her family.

Hawa is a Somali woman living in Portland, Oregon, who works passionately at her job with a labor union providing support for working class Oregonians. She loves her family, spending time with her friends, and being an advocate for others. Hawa is a woman of faith who truly loves all people she meets. She has always been an outspoken champion for people who are mistreated for being different, and after all the love and support she’s given her community, she is more than deserving of receiving some love back.
