Hemp products have given countless locals — including kūpuna (elders), disabled individuals, veterans, and patients — safe, legal, and effective relief without the need for a medical card or harsh pharmaceuticals. Hawaiʻi’s hemp shops have become trusted wellness hubs, empowering people to live healthier, more independent lives.

But now, that vital access is being ripped away.

Two dangerous new bills — HB1482 and HB302 — along with Act 263 and HAR 11-37 (Hawaii Administrative Rules), are designed to destroy Hawaiʻi’s thriving hemp market. These laws are not just unfair; they are deeply corrupt and dangerous.

Governor Green himself expressed that HB 302 would breach HIPAA by enabling unauthorized access to patient medical records — and even flagged it as a ‘grave violation of privacy’ when it was on his veto list. Yet he shockingly still signed it into law without any amendments, knowing the damage it would cause and ultimately leaving Hawaiʻi’s residents vulnerable.

Even worse, some of the same lawmakers who previously blocked adult-use cannabis legalization, including Green, at one point accepted donations from the monopolistic dispensaries and are now the ones pushing these harmful bills behind closed doors. They want to monopolize the market and shut down local, independent hemp businesses in favor of a few politically connected interests.

We have fought tirelessly for over two years to create a legal, transparent, and community-centered hemp market. We have followed every rule, paid every tax, provided certificates of analysis for every product, and supported our neighbors — and now we are being punished for it. If these bills and rules are not repealed, stores will close, the state will lose crucial tax revenue, thousands of residents will lose access to critical wellness products, and honest business owners will become criminals overnight.

Furthermore, this crackdown will force many desperate patients and wellness seekers into the illegal black market — exposing them to unregulated, potentially fentanyl-laced or dangerous street products. We have already seen this happen in other states, and we refuse to let it happen here in Hawaiʻi.

We are raising funds to fight back legally, to repeal all laws and rules that hurt Hawaiʻi's hemp industry, and to protect the fundamental right of every Hawaiʻi resident to choose safe, natural wellness options. We are working to file a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and pursue broader legal action to ensure a fair, open market that serves the people of Hawai'i — not politics or corporate greed.

We believe no one should have to live in pain or fear because of corruption and hidden agendas. We believe in medical freedom, privacy, and local self-sufficiency. We believe that together, we can win this fight and set a powerful example for the entire nation.
