Adventurous, fun-loving, spirited, a lover of travel, nature, tropical beaches, a passionate teacher of biology-all of these describe Angela, but to those who knew her, she was so much more. A loving mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, to know Angela was to love her. She had an infectious love of life and made friends wherever she went. She was a fighter, a warrior, a force to be reckoned with.

When she was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer in 2019, it didn't stop her in her tracks. Instead, she went to Roatan, Honduras with her husband Paul and son, Dante. After resting and relaxing at her favorite place (the beach), she came back ready to take on cancer and start a grueling treatment of chemotherapy. Cancer fought hard, but she fought harder. Determined to continue to live her best life and create beautiful memories with her family, Angela could be found sledding, hiking, swimming, painting, crafting, and reading, even after her chemo treatments.

She approached life with fierce determination and passion. This was especially apparent in her love of teaching biology. Her trips to Costa Rica with her students were one of the things she was known for and seeing the positive impact she made on her students' lives, filled her with pride and joy. Her teaching wasn't just in the classroom, she also was happy to teach her family and friends about the ocean, sea creatures, and plants. She loved doing activities with the young women in her church. She was an amazing storyteller, whether telling a scary story or one of her travel adventures, each story she told was captivating and a learning experience.

Angela's journey on this earth ended on Sunday, August 29th, 2021. With the news of her passing, many have reached out to ask how they can be of assistance. Angela wanted others to be able to have the same experiences and opportunities as her, so we will be setting up a scholarship endowment fund that will be awarded to a biology student at Hawaii Pacific University, where Angela taught. In place of flowers, we are asking for donations to support the start of the scholarship fund.
