Escaping a Dangerous Environment

Hello! My name is Kelani, and I've been trying to pursue my education for several years now. However, a series of unfortunate events and family tragedies continued to get in the way of bettering myself so I can provide for those in my family who have come to need me.

In the summer of 2021, I was preparing to go back to school after my grandmother's passing of COVID as I used to help care for her. However, my mother, a healthy and independent outdoorswoman, had a stroke at 59. It was completely unexpected, and we almost lost her. It was a hard adjustment as she became paralyzed on half her body losing her ability to participate in her passions (hiking, horseback riding, kayaking) and her career. She is now unable to work and needs assistance with daily tasks. I have been caring for her and trying to provide for both of us since that day.

We had to give away her horse and have moved to a cheaper home as I try to finish up my education so we can be better off. However, the inspection report did not notify us of the money issues with this home, and during our walkthroughs, the sellers did a good job concealing just how bad it was. Once we moved in, we found roaches, decades of grease layered on previously hidden walls, damage and rot on previously hidden floors, inoperable plumbing, and inoperable outlets. The sellers took some of the appliances that were in the contract for them to leave us, and the sellers left garbage on the property, which cost a lot of money and manpower to remove. We need to pay for new appliances, professional clean-up, pest extermination, plumbing, contractors, asbestos removal, an electrician with little to no money. It gets worse... we found chipping paint in several areas and have been told it is deadly in addition to the asbestos. However, these incredibly vital repairs will cost thousands of dollars, so much more than we have to spend. Learning this, I tried to find a way to move out of the property, but the only way to do that would be to sell the home. I cannot sell it for cash because cash buyers want to pay $120k while I owe $156k leaving a deficit that I do not have the money to fill. Apparently you cannot sell a home unless you fully can pay off the mortgage during the sale. I am in an utterly terrifying situation and am scared for the wellbeing of my family and animals. Either way I am in a desperate need of more funds to rectify the situation and either create a healthy home or get out while I can. I am in full survival mode now and desperate for anyone to help who can help to help. I just want to know I am in a safe home, I owe it to my mom and my animals, but I am trapped in this utter nightmare. Please help us! Anyone... please!! It just keeps getting worse and worse more than I ever imagined it would get.

I have always had to fight for what I have and don't expect to live in luxury, but I just want to live in a clean, safe environment and provide that for my mom and dogs so she can recover and they can flourish. Please help me wake up from this nightmare!! If there is anyone generous enough to fund me, I'd even pay you back monthly!! Please please I am terrified in my own home. Any help or generosity is endlessly appreciated. <3 Please share with all your friends and family All I can do now is pray for an angel...
