Over 25 years ago, the first signs of Zach’s heart problems started when he “keeled over” on the dining room floor. It took two years to get the diagnosis of Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia, a fatal heart condition. Through God’s blessing Zach made it over 20 years before he was told he would need a heart transplant. Zach’s four children and wife have lived for years not knowing if Zach would make it sometimes from day to day, month to month, year to year. But he is here and has a new Gift of Life!
Pastor Zach Crosby received a heart transplant on August 12, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. What a blessing! Zach, his wife Lisa and their beautiful children are so grateful; words cannot express their feelings.
Unfortunately, Zach has struggled with a very low immune system due to the heart transplant and he also contracted fungal meningitis last spring; which is dangerously affecting his health. He currently takes over 20 different medications and the specialized medical attention requires them to drive often from Poplar WI to Rochester MN; which is over 400 miles round trip! Their health insurance is high risk health insurance, which means it has a high premium and does not cover all of his medical expenses.
Due to Zach’s medical needs; Zach and Lisa have also struggled to maintain a secure job. With the ups and downs of his heart transplant; they have done what they can, but their medical and financial bills are more than they can handle. Zach and Lisa are hurting financially more now than ever and need our help!
Zach has dedicated his life to helping others through ministry in Duluth Minnesota and Poplar Wisconsin. They are also members of Mission Covenant Church located in Poplar. Their church family and friends want to help them during this time, but we need everyone’s help to reach our goal. Every little bit counts, please donate any dollar amount. Even if you commit to not buying coffee, drinks or sweets for a few days and $20 is what you can give, that will add to the blessing to this family!
