My name is Molly Glen Yarbrough. I was born on September 9, 2014. Yesterday morning, November 21, 2014, my mommy found me not breathing. I am one very lucky little girl that she and my grandmother, Tammie Landreneaux, knew CPR and saved my life! I had to go to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge to make sure everything was ok. While asking about my history, my Mom mentioned I had a heart murmur. They decided to call in the Cardiologist to give my heart a check-up as well. The cardiologist found that I have a condition called Coarctation of the Aorta. That means my Aorta is narrowed and my body has only been getting a trickle of blood when my heart pumps. I am now at Children's in New Orleans where I will receive the proper surgery to heal my little heart. After the surgery, I will have a long road to recovery. I will be on blood pressure medicine, as well as have my kidneys monitored due to my body having to adapt to 100% blood flow. I stopped breathing because I aspirated some reflux, but that has nothing to do with my condition. By the grace of God my mommy got me stable and to the hospital and found the heart condition. Doctors told my mommy it is rare that this condition is detected in babies before it becomes fatal. I am one very lucky little girl to be alive and ask for any help for my parents, Christie and Phillip Yarbrough, while I am on an extended stay in the hospital. Prayers, donations, anything would be greatly appreciated.
