Have Heart and Help Jaxon With His

Donation protected
His mother picked Jaxon (11 yrs) up from school and he was complaining in his skin hurting and him needing lotion. He was walking extremely bow legged. She got home and he put shorts on so she could help him with his lotion. When she looked both legs were extremely swollen. His stomach was slightly but nothing major. They were sent here to Childrens hospital…..

Jaxon has been diagnosed with heart failure. Yes, heart FAILURE. He’s had so many tests. So many specialists. But they are trying. The first step is to get symptoms under control, try to find out what’s causing the heart failure, treatment for heart failure, and then what damage has been done and where we go from here. There are also blood clots in his heart right now. So that is a challenge as well. The treatment for the symptoms and the heart failure itself all have their own unique issues for his other organs.

They are working with specialists in heart failure, and he is in cardiac ICU. They are where he needs to be right now. There’s no timetable on how long this will take to determine the cause or treatment or anything. So right now, they are there. Ellie, his twin, completed genetic testing today and will also have an echo to hopefully speed up the process to ruling out (or in) the cause being genetic in nature. We don’t know what challenges tomorrow will bring.

Thank you to our family and friends who are family for checking on him, the other kids, us, etc. Thank you for the prayers most of all because Lord knows Jaxon needs them right now… we all do. We truly do appreciate each and every one of you, the love, and the prayers you’ve sent. Please say some prayers for our Jaxon. Prayers for the medical professionals treating him now and in the future. And please, please hug and kiss your babies tonight no matter the age.

They would appreciate any financial help they can receive as this is very unexpected this holiday season. Niki and Adam have 5 kids total, a mix of adopted children and biological. Anything would be appreciated.
