Back Bonnie in her battle with Acute Leukaemia

Hello. The families of Bonnie Black and her husband Adam have set up this GoFundMe to support Bonnie in the fight of her life against Leukaemia. She is a beautiful young woman, a caring daughter, sister, fiercely devoted friend and newly-wed. We want to have Bonnie’s back as she faces this challenge with all the love and support she would undoubtedly give to others without a second thought.

Bonnie is a 28 y/o country girl, raised on a property near Rollingston, North Queensland. She is a caring, intelligent and extremely capable person who always thinks of others before herself. Bonnie has strived to live a naturally healthy and happy life as so many do and has been dealt a massive blow with the diagnosis of Blood Cancer. Bonnie met her husband Adam in 2018 and along with her much loved sausage dog Cookie, moved to Charters Towers. They married only recently in 2021, started a small business and were just beginning married life, before their world was flipped upside down.

Bonnie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the beginning of May 2022 and has begun chemotherapy in Townsville. Her husband Adam (true to the couples form) has not left her side and has been staying at the Leukaemia house. She will continue her journey in Brisbane as she requires more specialist treatment to cure her cancer. The money raised will go towards supporting both Bonnie and Adam as they move away from their support network, into uncertain times. Neither can continue working during this time so they need our help so she can focus on getting better. It is looking like the next 6 months will be a rough road for both of them. This fight is up to Bonnie but our hope is to lessen her burden.

Those who know Bonnie know she is truly an incredible woman, kind-hearted and so giving. Her courage was inspiring well before cancer came into the picture. She has affected all of our lives so positively - we hope to repay her in the same way.
