Have a Heart for Tim Eastburn

I would like to thank you in advance for listening to our story.

Let me begin introducing you to the recipient of the this gofundme.  His name is Tim, he is 57 years old and much too young to die!  He is a son, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a great uncle, a cousin, a nephew, and a brother, my brother and my best friend.

It's been a very difficult year for Tim. Let me begin by telling you briefly about our week, and my cousin who is a medical professional will explain more later.  Less than a week ago my brother walked into the hospital and never in a million years would we have guessed we would be where we are at this moment.

If my brother is going to live for more than a year or so he will more than likely need a heart transplant. He has been told that he can no longer return to work. He needs to make many major life changes moving forward. He has three months to hope his heart improves enough to be placed on the list for a transplant.
There are some issues with medical equipment and hospital bills.  I'm also afraid he is going to need some home health services when discharged from the hospital until he gets a little stronger.   At this time, because of the loss of health insurance, we are facing a huge challenge.

You see on top of all of this, it's been a very difficult year for my brother. He has been laid off due to Covid for most of 2020 and just returned to work two weeks ago when all of this all happened.  His unemployment ran out before he returned to work and his health coverage lapsed, and when he thought that things couldn't possibly get any worse they did.

We are all devastated by this news.  My family's hearts are broken!

My cousin Tim will explain more about the medical part.

Hi my name is Timothy and a first cousin of Tim.  I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read this first off.   Tim was just diagnosed with non ischemic cardiomyopathy.   He has an ejection fraction of 10% and his risk of sudden death from ventricular fibrillation is extremely high.   He has to wear a life vest 24/7, which is an external defibrillator built into a vest because of this. Because Tim has no insurance the longest he can have the vest is 6 weeks.  He is applying for Medicaid and will be able to have a pacemaker and internal defibrillator paced once that is approved which will be in 3-4 month. Unfortunately Tim will have no protection from week 6 to week 12 at the earliest. The only thing we can do to protect Tim is get him a AED,  which stands for external automatic defibrillator.   We are helping Tim financially with everything including all his hospital bills and are asking for more help.   Anyone with a AED that they are not using please contact me.

In closing I want you all to know that my brother has no idea we are doing this for him, but what I can tell you is he is extremely worried about insurance, medical bills, housing, utilities, medical equipment required to keep him safe.   All of these things are real issues for Tim now.

I have never asked for help before, but I have never wanted something so badly for someone.....thank you just doesn't seem like enough!

God has blessed us for all of you and may God bless you.

I'm most grateful and extremely thankful for each of you. My brother will be very humbled by all of your acts of kindness.

I will keep you posted on Tim’s progress.
Thank you a million times over.....
