Have a heart for Stu

On Christmas Day, the Field family gathered to celebrate the holiday in the company of each other. As the night came to a close, Stuart was helping to clean up from the festivities, as he always did. After moving some furniture, Stuart began to experience shortness of breath, unable to talk or catch a full breath. After calling 911, the paramedics arrived a short time later and proceeded to find that Stuart was suffering signs of a major cardiac event. Stuart was transported to UC West Chester hospital where doctors soon confirmed that there was an issue with his aortic valve. Due to the severity of his condition, Stuart was transferred to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for more specialized care. After testing and procedures, Stuart was diagnosed with severe aortic valve stenosis, which is a hardening of the main valve in the heart.
Unfortunately, there is no other treatment for this diagnoses, than a full replacement of the aortic valve, which requires major, intricate, cardiac surgery. Over the past few days, a team of medical professionals have been formulating a plan for this procedure and the recovery associated with it.
Some time during the new year's celebration, Stuart will likely be undergoing this surgery. At this point it is not certain the exact time frame of recovery or the quality of recovery to return to normal everyday life.
Anyone who knows Stuart knows that he is a hard working and dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He works two full time jobs to keep the household afloat. Needless to say, Stuart will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and may have restrictions even after his recovery is completed. While the family does have health insurance, the coverage is minimal at best. With the financial burden of no income, plus the potential for a large sum of medical bills, Stuart and his family are truly in need of monetary assistance.
We are asking every one to please have a heart for Stu!
Thank you,
The Field Family
