Have a Heart for my Little Brother
Donation protected
On November 17th, 2016, the life of my 16 year old "little brother" Eddie changed dramatically. I have mentored Eddie as his "big brother" just shy of ten years now. On that day Eddie collapsed on the basketball court at Shroder Paideia High School while practicing for the JV team. Eddie's heart had stopped and he was without oxygen for several minutes. Many heroes stepped up that day to keep Eddie alive, and for that we thank them immensely!
After major open heart surgery, and a 36 day stay in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Eddie finally got to go home to his mother and brothers on December 22nd, 2016. Eddie has a very long road to recovery ahead of him, but he is all smiles and ready to dive in right away. Doctors remain optimistic that through speech, physical, and occupational therapy, Eddie can regain most functions he had prior to this life changing event.
As Eddie's "big brother", I am trying to help his mother raise money for what will be an overwhelming financial burden that their family now faces. Any and all of your generous donations will go 100% toward Eddie's medical bills, therapy bills, prescription costs, and overall treatment needs. Both Eddie's mother and I would so greatly appreciate your donations as soon as possible.
Being Eddie's "big brother" is something I am very proud of, and I cherish the relationship we have. It would mean the world to me if we could get him back on his feet so he could destroy me in another game of HORSE. Your financial contributions will go a very long way to making this happen!
Most Sincerely,
Eddie's Big Brother,
John Hanley
