Seemingly healthy and young Danny, underwent an emergency quadruple bypass on Nov. 19, as a result of an 80% blockage in one area of his heart and 90 in the other three. He has undergone a five-hour surgery, is currently in ICU as they monitor his body’s reaction to the hell he just experience and thwart infection. He’s expected to be in the hospital/recovery for a while, likely through the holidays, and his birthday. Obviously, he will be unable to work for a while.
If you know Danny, though he has a faulty heart, it’s a big one. He’s a good person. After a career in accounting/HR, in his early 40s he had a higher calling to help others and changed his career trajectory to pursue the field of nursing. Though it’s annoying how he always wants to diagnose me (it’s a nurse thing) it brings him great joy being able to guide people through fear, uncertainty and a pathway of health.
In the spirit of Danny’s generous, helpful soul, I call on you, his friends and family to help guide Danny through his time of need. As you can imagine this unexpected procedure and the time off of work will be costly. However, you can help and ensure he heals without the building financial stress that can further tax his heart. Understanding it’s the holidays, I’m sure he’d appreciate anything you could provide. If not funds, prayers are free and always appreciated. Thanks in advance. I’ll be sure to provide updates on his progress.
