Have A Great Summer For Homeless Children

Our mission is to raise awareness to those who are experiencing homelessness or who are eminently facing homelessness. In light of May’s APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) month, Have A Great Summer Charity Event for Homeless Children will be showing performances from different cultures from the Eastern Hemisphere. Not only will there be extravagant professional performances, there will also be a fantastic student talent show!
Because our event will be online, we will be creating a competition for our young talent show contestants! There will be two winners for the students: Most Philanthropic and People’s Choice.

This event’s goal is to teach our younger generation about the importance of giving back to the community while also allowing these children to share their wonderful talents. All donations from this performance will be going to Rainbow Village and Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter to help fund their summer camp supplies. We appreciate all of the support from all of you! Thank you!

This is Have A Great Summer’s first charity event. Last year, Maxine Acosta decided rather than receiving gifts for her 13th birthday, she wanted to give back to the community. As birthday was during the summertime, she found that many children were not able to have the opportunity to go to summer camps. She found love in what Rainbow Village and Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter stood for, and wanted to help homeless children within these organizations. She wanted these children to also enjoy a wonderful summer regardless of the difficulties they were going through.
This event will be held at 7:00PM on May 29th, 2021. Due to the pandemic, the performance will be performed virtually on Youtube Premiere! We hope that as the pandemic subsides that we will be given the opportunity to create a live performance! Please join us to help homeless children have a great 2021 summer break!
