Dick Haughton Memorial Fund
Donation protected
A five year battle with cancer has left the Haughton family with significant costs and some "deferred maintanence" issues around the house.
In addition to the surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Dick spent a lot of time in the hospital, including a 55-day stay last year.
During that time Barbie has been the rock of the family while dealing with her own medical issues along the way. She has been diagnosed with Hemochromatosis, and was in the hospital herself with kidney stones less than 12 hours after Dick died.
So many people have been asking how they can help, that the Haughton family has started this fund to cover these expenses. Additionally, we hope that we can help their daughter, Kellie, finish her degree at The Culinary Institute of Michigan in Muskegon.
Dick helped raise thousands every year for more than a decade as director of the Chesaning Little League and Barbie has been so generous volunteering for the Sports Boosters and throughout the community. She needs our help now.
Any support you can provide will be appreciated, even sharing this on Facebook!
You can read Dick's obituary here.
A Memorial to celebrate Dick's life will be held on Sunday, May 31 from noon-3:30pm at the Chesaning Conservation Club (13750 Baldwin Rd, Chesaning, MI 48616)
