Help Our Mom Beat Cervical Cancer ❤️

As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer 3 weeks ago. She went to her OBGYN after having some increased bleeding & complications for several months. While she was there they found a tumor, they were unsure if it was cancerous or not so she had to undergo testing to find out. On August 24th she got a phone call from her doctor letting her know it definitely was cervical cancer & she would soon be hearing from an oncologist to decide the next steps. She has had an ultrasound to see how big the tumor is & also a CT scan to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else in her body. On September 1st met with the oncologist to discuss what is next, what stage she is at, treatments, etc. She found out she has stage 2B cervical cancer and it has spread into her uterus and appears to be about 7-8cm. Friday September 4th she had an exploratory surgery to make sure it hasn't spread to anywhere, because the CT scan doesn't always show everything. During this surgery they moved her ovaries so that they wouldn't be affected by the radiation and put her into early menopause. After surgery the doctors let us know that she did very well, she has 4 incisions & minimal blood loss, they did find a cyst but thankfully they were able to remove it. Now, she is recovering for one week before she has to start radiation and chemo treatments. Her treatments are Monday-Friday for about 8 weeks in Tampa (which is about an hour away from her home). She is now out of work until her treatments are over. Unfortunately bills do not stop coming. We are asking for your help during this difficult time to help ease her burden. The last thing I want my mother to have to worry about is money when she is trying to beat cancer. She is the most caring and thoughtful person I know & would do absolutely anything in her power to help ANYONE that needed it, even if that meant going without something herself. She hates asking for help, and she never will, that is why with the help of brother, my stepfather & aunts we have put this together, to try to help her. Her family & friends are her rock and we will ALL be here helping & supporting her every step of the way.
