Kristin Brandeberry is a wonderful woman with a huge heart, filled with love for her amazing  7 year old Wheaten terrier Remi. Sadly, after six long hours at the ER vet last night she has just learned that her good boy needs emergency surgery right away to remove a mass from his spleen.  As so many of us would do, Kristin is doing everything she can to give Remi the best shot at living a long and happy life, and he is having the surgery today. As she told me last night, "he saved my life and I will do the best I can to do the same for him".


Kristin would never ask for money herself but I know that the cost is a huge strain. The vet bills for his tests and surgery are expected to be about $9000USD. I can't even imagine being faced with this when my best friend is suffering. We have an amazing network of dog lovers with huge hearts and my wish is that, together, we can help make a dent in this bill and let her focus all her energy on taking care of Remi and herself.

No amount is too little - Imagine, if 900 people each contributed USD$10, that could cover her bills! I know there are so many great causes and that it's not possible to financially support everything you would want to every time, so if a monetary contribution is not in your means right now, please help by sharing this page with your own networks.

Every dollar raised will go towards the costs of Remi's vet bills. Any money that doesn't end up being needed for the vet (and I will update this accordingly) will be donated to the SPCA to help other animals in need.
