My name is Megan and I am a friend of Carsons/family.

On Sept 26th, 2026 Carson and some friends went to The Dive Bar in St Catherines for an outing. Carson left to walk just outside the bar to have a cigarette around 2130.

While Carson was having a cigarette, one female and two males ambushed him from behind and beat him brutally to the point where he became unconscious - stating it was because of his sexual orientation.

One person was arrested (pending charges) and Carson was transferred to ER for assessment (knocked unconscious).

Carson is a 25-year-old Niagara college student who was targeted for his affiliation/connection with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Carson is now suffering from an orbital fracture entrapping his eye muscles requiring plastic surgery (consult later this week) as well as a concussion, PTSD and anxiety - not including multiple abrasions and hematomas throughout his body.

Carson works part-full time work as well as being a full time Niagara College Student.

This fundraiser is to provide finances for Carson for living and medical expenses as well as accommodating the inability to attend work/school due to the severe assault.

Carson also does not have any health care coverage so any eligibility outside of OHIP is out of pocket and not feasible at this time.

Carson is one of the most selfless, supportive and loving human beings, it is heartbreaking to see such an amazing person be attacked unprovoked.
