At midnight on January 17th a fire started at the Hatchel home. The fire department put the fire out by 2 a.m, but while the family was at the hospital, the fire reignited burning until about 3 or 4 in the morning. Walter Hatchel was rushed to Parkland hospital for severe smoke inhalation. Fortunately, he was treated and released. The rest of the family Brenda Bailey, and the two children Alex Bailey and Nicholas Hatchel made it out safely.
