I'm Peter Hastings and I'm raising funds for my brother, Jeff, and his family (Lesleigh, Tommy, and Ashleigh). They were out of town recently when they were notified early in the morning that their home in Apex, NC had burned to the ground, along with all of their possessions. They returned home to find everything they owned in a pile of smoldering ash. The devastation is complete; what they were wearing, along with what they had packed for a warm couple of days in Florida, are the only clothes they have. Along with 20 years' worth of irreplaceable memories, all their possessions in the house - furniture, appliances, books, food - are simply gone.

They are insured and the house will be rebuilt...eventually. But in the meantime, they are faced with the daunting task of trying to reassemble their lives, clothe and feed the family, and deal with the impact of having lost virtually everything they own.
