Hassel Ohana Displaced by NW Blizzard Disaster

Donation protected
Aloha, my name is Angie and I am good friends of the Hassel family (Heather, Gerald, and Royce). On Saturday January 13, record setting blizzard conditions including 60 mph gusts and freezing temps into the single digits sent the Pacific NW into a state of emergency. Strong winds sent trees and debris ravaging the neighborhood and unfortunately the Hassel home was smashed by a nearby tree, deeming their Beaverton home a total loss. It displaced this family and caused irreparable damage to much of their belongings.

Originally from Maui and Oahu Hawaii, the Hassel's have been a pillar in the local Vancouver/Portland community for over a decade, and have always been there to support and uplift others in times of need. The family who never asks for anything now needs our help. Thankfully no one was injured and they are otherwise well. They lost the place they called home, and need our help to move on from this devastating loss.

Insurance hasn't paid anything yet, and with the lengthy time it will take for inspectors and insurance adjustors to make a report, this sweet and kind family needs a permanent or short term living solution for themselves and their 4 fur babies and a cockatiel Charlie. The funds will be used to cover the costs of new housing, security deposit, new furniture, and other necessities.
