Help Hassan and Wafaa survive the threat of famine
Donation protected
Hi my name is Sarah from Ireland and I am fundraising for dear friends of mine, Hassan Altaweel and his family. Hassan lives in G.aza with his wife, Wafaa and his two small girls.
In 2023 they had just gotten married, bought their first apartment and were expecting baby Sham but today they are living under tarp without even a mattress to lie on because their home no longer exists and there is no safe place for them to live.
They have been displaced so many times and have lost their belongings at every turn.

Wafaa used to be an english teacher and even when the schools closed, then were bombed, she took her classes online. Until of course, the electricity was restricted and cut.
Hassan does whatever he can to support his family and protect them in such terrifying conditions.
Recently I was able to help him acquire a fruit and vegetable stall just before we saw the genocide and famine return in March and once again they lost everything including their chance for survival and self sufficiency.
Following this they had to flee, under fire from where they were staying leaving behind all their blankets, clothes and food for their two babies.

The Altweel family are truly beautiful, humble and kind people who want nothing more than to live their lives, be independent and survive the constant threat of death that hangs over them daily.
Right now they desperately need the support to feed and clothe their two girls who are already malnourished after months of threatening famine.

Your donations will help the Altaweel family to;
- Purchase nappies and baby food for Sham and Aylool
- Purchase comfortable bedding and essentials for sanitation.
- Begin saving for whatever their potential future will hold.
living in fear of the future is a huge cause of acute anxiety for them..
Wafaa and Hassan are both active on Instagram;
Please Please help me to support my dear and beloved friends so that we can keep them in support until the day comes for them to return to living a life outside of genocide.
