Support the Haslemere International String Competition – Investing in the Future of Music

Every great musician begins with a moment when someone believes in them.

The Haslemere International String Competition was created to give exceptional young string players that moment — a platform to perform, to be heard, and to take the next step toward a professional career.

Run by The Waverley Ensemble, this unique competition brings together talented violinists, violists, cellists and bass players from around the world to compete, collaborate, and grow in a supportive yet world-class environment.

Why this matters

For young musicians, opportunities like this can be life-changing.

Many of today’s leading artists began their journeys in competitions just like this one — gaining confidence, recognition, and vital connections.

The Haslemere International String Competition offers:

• A professional performance platform

• Constructive feedback from distinguished juries

• Career-building exposure

• Opportunities linked to ensembles such as the English Chamber Orchestra
