This is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. We found out on January 13, 2016 that my dad has cancer................................................................cancer.
My dad's cancer is not curable.... treatable ...but not curable. For anyone who knows my dad, you know how special he is to me and how much I love him. For me to know that the time I have left with him is limited is the most awful truth I've ever had to deal with.
The VA told my dad that he only has approx. 6 months to live. Fortunatley my dad has gotten a second opinion through the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. Although their hasn't been a time established, they have given us all hope that they can treat him, and have him be with us for a longer time.
We all know how expensive medical bills can be, especially ongoing treatments like chemo. I am hoping that I can help my dad with his medical and travel expenses so he isn't having to stress on the cost of this. Stress doesn't help the sick, it will not help him get better.
Anything that can be donated to help my dad would be most appreciated. You would be forever in my heart for your kindness. My dad is the most important man in my life. I can't imagine the day that I can't call him anymore, or to hear him call me "sweetheart" I need him to stay here for as long as he can. He is ready to fight this uphill battle for as long as he can. It is going to be tough, but we will help him through this.
His first treatment starts on 2/4/16. I hope that he can handle it well and be strong.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Even that alone I am thankful for.
