Hi, my name is Amanda Coughlan, and I am creating this fund to offer support to my friends, Gillian and Stephen, after the devastating loss of their beautiful 9-year-old son, Harvey.

Harvey was a much-loved son to them and a brother to Lyla and Remy. He had spina bifida and was a full-time wheelchair user. Harvey became a household name due to his parents' relentless fight in the media to secure timely access to medical care for him. He waited over three years for scoliosis surgery, and by the time of the surgery at the end of 2024, his curvature had reached 130 degrees.

After Harvey's surgery, he got a new lease on life, a life that was unexpectedly and cruelly cut short on July 29, 2025. As a community, we are devastated; however, our sorrow is nothing compared to that of his parents and family.

We have set up this fund to help ease the financial burden associated with the death of a loved one. As a mother, I cannot comprehend facing the next leg of Stephen and Gillian's journey. Any support would be greatly appreciated. The public has always rallied behind Harvey, and it would mean so much if we could all do it again one last time
