These are our dear friends Shakti and Sam Dalal. I know Houston is hurting right now, but this family has been through so much. They struggled with infertility for years in order to have their third child. Then, Shakti was diagnosed with breast cancer only weeks after daughter Laila was born 5 years ago. Not only did Shakti and Sam lose both of their cars and EVERYTHING on the first floor of their home...but Harvey also destroyed Shakti's parent's home and cars as well. Shakti's father suffers from dementia, so this has been very difficult on her mom "Honey", a normal fountain of support for Shakti/Sam. Their children attend Regis and Duchesne Academy here in Houston. Surviving cancer prompted Shakti to quit her job as Admissions Director at Duchesne in order to spend more time with her children. This means they are a one income family. Please consider helping this family! We are also working to help Shakti's parents.

They are a WONDERFUL family and have done so many wonderful things for others. They would really appreciate your help. Any additional donations will go to Shakti's parents (who lost their entire home) and anything after that will go to Harvey Victims in Bellaire (Shakti's neighborhood) or Nottingham Forest Neighborhood (which was also completely destroyed).
