Harvey Help for Lloyd and Sarah!

Lloyd, Sarah, Katie and I grew up together at Woodlawn Church in Michigan. It was just 10 years ago where we went on mission trips to Mississippi to assist in Katrina relief together. Unfortunately, the tables have turned for Lloyd and Sarah and they now need some Harvey help. Katie and I are their Son's Godparents and we love this family to pieces.
Lloyd and Sarah moved down to Texas a few years ago and have thrived. Sarah quickly became the head of her department and Lloyd has excelled on a national level at his job. Their son, Landon, is already walking and has a birthday around the corner! Sarah's parents, Ric and Jennifer, are currently living with Lloyd and Sarah helping with Landon. I am sure that we are all aware of what has transpired that last two weeks from Hurricane Harvey. I am creating this campaign realizing such a tragedy is difficult to recover from in regards to providing for your family while trying to procure supplies, replenish lost items and rip out the entire first floor. The kitchen appliances that sit on the ground are not working and this family is having to find food outside the home for all meals.
The area they reside in was at low risk of becoming a flood zone. Just this week after the storm the insurance companies just now named this area a flood zone and therefore cannot cover the damages for Lloyd and Sarah’s house. Multiple rooms of carpet, kitchen and bathroom cupboards, and all drywall three feet above the ground had to be ripped out. In addition, they are in need of toiletries, food, cleaning supplies, building supplies as I am sure that there is further damage that has not been discovered yet. Also, they will need to find another vehicles as one of theirs was destroyed by the storm. The whole family is living upstairs until the house becomes habitable on the first floor.
What they need is prayers and some help as this huge financial burden is upon them. I write this knowing that we are all family and some of our family needs some help. Sending specific items would be difficult due to the infrastructure being destroyed-therefore we ask for monetary gifts to help them out the most. Let’s set a goal of expediting this effort to alleviate this stressful hardship of colleting all funds by September 9th. If you know this family as I do, you would know that they would never ask for anything of this nature but as a friend I am calling out for help for I do not wish for them to endure such hardship. I recognize that as a community we can impact harder than any one person. Thank you for reading this, any contribution will help!
