Support the 17 Harvey Firefighters Laid Off Amid City Cuts

We are asking for your help to support the 17 dedicated firefighters from the Harvey Fire Department who were recently laid off. These men have spent years serving and protecting the residents of Harvey — responding to emergencies, saving lives, and putting their own safety on the line for others.

Unfortunately, due to the city’s ongoing financial crisis, drastic cuts were made to the fire department, leaving these firefighters suddenly without work. Many of them have young children at home, and some have wives who are expecting.

Harvey Firemen’s Local 471 is asking for any contribution you can make to help these firefighters and their families through this difficult time. Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward supporting them as they navigate this unexpected hardship.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help our brothers in their time of need.

In solidarity,
Harvey Firemen’s Local 471
