Color of Violence Trip

Harvest Collegiate is one of the few public schools in New York City that is truly representative of the diversity of the city's population. We noticed a need among our student body for awareness of issues of women's rights, so in response, we started an after-school Feminism Club. In this club we discuss issues in our school community and in the world. To continue our mission to learn more about feminism we are organizing a trip to the Color of Violence conference in Chicago.  We look forward to meeting highly influential women ( like Angela Davis) and hearing their experiences as feminist, activists, and women in a patriarchal society.  In order to achieve this goal we need to raise $7,000 soon before February 15th.
