Returning Ram Dass's Legacy to Harvard

Hi! I'm Matthew (Pavan Das) - I work as a nonprofit leader and community organizer at Hanuman Maui Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary.

It was the honor of my life to serve as Ram Dass’s caregiver. During that time, his presence was a masterclass in resilience, service and love. Despite extraordinary debilitations, Ram Dass helped others through loving-kindness, peace and joy.

Ram Dass's ability to draw upon a consistent contemplative practice to provide spiritual and emotional care for others inspires me to do the same with my life.

This aspiration informs my decision to attend Harvard Divinity School beginning in the fall of 2023; a three-year program that will support my commitment to learn, lead and serve through a lived spirituality.

I've created this fundraiser with the encouragement of my community to support my education and my aspiration to return to Harvard as a representative of Ram Dass's spiritual legacy.

The goal of $35,926 reflects the total cost of tuition and fees for one year of study.

I am immensely grateful for the support of my community that affords me this privilege and opportunity.
