Help Harsha To Fight His Traumatic Car Accident
Donation protected
I find myself in a challenging situation and am reaching out for support. On November 9th, 2023, a Thursday, I faced an unexpected and severe car accident while heading from Oklahoma to Denton, near a spot northbound in the inside lane on I-35. This incident has left me grappling with significant health challenges. Despite having insurance, the mounting medical and rehabilitation bills are proving to be overwhelming, and as a student at the University of North Texas in Denton, I am currently without any source of income due to my inability to work.
The accident resulted in a series of traumatic injuries, including:
* Subdural hematoma and subarachnoid hemorrhage (brain hemorrhages, bleeding in the space between the brain and the tissues)
* Closed non-displaced fracture of the second cervical vertebra (break in the second vertebra and fracture in the part of side of a vertebra in the neck)
* Contusions in both lungs (bruises on the lungs)
* Closed fractures of the right distal femur, tibia, and fibula (breaks in the bones of the lower thigh, leg and knee)
* Closed displaced oblique fracture of the shaft of the left femur (misalignment of left thigh bone)
* Vertebral artery dissection (tear in the inner lining of the vertebral artery which lead to stroke during the incident)
Due to these severe injuries, especially to both my legs and left hip, I have undergone four surgeries and am currently unable to walk. I have been advised by medical professionals that rehabilitation and physical therapy are crucial for my recovery. These treatments are not just necessary for my physical well-being but also for my mental health and overall quality of life. Unfortunately, my student insurance does not cover the cost of these essential treatments. As a student, my financial resources are extremely limited, and the costs of ongoing medical care, coupled with rehabilitation expenses, are overwhelming.
This fundraiser is a plea for help to cover the costs of my rehabilitation and physical therapy, which are crucial for regaining my mobility and independence. Your support would mean the world to me, providing not just financial relief but also emotional support during this difficult time.
Any donation, big or small, will directly contribute to my recovery and help me navigate this challenging phase of my life. I am committed to keeping all donors updated on my progress and how their generosity is aiding in my recovery.
Thank you for reading my story and considering supporting my journey back to health. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
