Harry Griffin Support

Donation protected
Hi
Rockhampton Touch Association are encouraging all our Redbacks, extended team-mates and friends to show their support for Harrison (Harry) Griffin in his challenge to recover from his recent knee reconstruction surgery.
In April, Harry was proudly representing Australia in the Men's Open Division of the Trans-Tasman Touch Series 2023 as Emu #212 when he devastatingly suffered a full rupture to his ACL during the second game of the series. This in turn has led to significant reconstructive surgery from which his recovery thus far is progressing well.
There is a long, challenging recovery road ahead for Harry and with his trade as an Electrician, Harry will not be able to return to work for some time. Unfortunately with no assistance via his player insurance and having used all sick leave/holidays available to him, the financial situation he and his beautiful partner Rachel find themselves faced with is very stressful. With many medical expenses, a mortgage to pay and his return to work timeframe unknown at this stage, we hope to be able to help Harry with the financial burden aspect of his recovery going forward.
Harry has represented us as a very proud Rocky Redback since under 12's, going on to represent right through the junior ranks, to Queensland and Australian Teams as a youth and then as a member of the victorious Queensland Touch State of Origin and Australian Emus Open Men's Teams in the past few years, seeing him become one of the leading players in our game.
His prowess as a player is undeniable and admired by all, becoming a revered role model for our younger generation of Redbacks. The contribution back to the Rockhampton Touch Association by Harry is also to be commended with him serving as a Management Committee member for several years, a coach, referee and volunteer whenever called upon. We as an Association are appreciative of the time and involvement Harry has given so willingly.
In closing, let's show this amazing young man the support he deserves and play our part in aiding his recovery so that we see him back on the park, playing the game he loves and once again being able to proudly represent his City, State and Country.
Thanks so much.
