My dear brother, Harry Burgers, was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year. His incredible wife, Roxanne, has been caring for him, but due to the progression of his illness, he has recently entered hospice care.

If you know Harry, you know that he is one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. He’d literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. If you don’t know Harry, let me take a minute to tell you about him. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. From 1981 to 1986, he bravely and honorably served his country and was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms at a moment’s notice. An avid animal lover, he has been recognized for extraordinary work that he’s done with the Animal Rescue Leagues. Harry has literally dedicated his life to the service of others. Whatever you’d need, he’d do his best to help you with it.

At this point, Harry needs our help. There are extra expenses needed to care for him currently and as you can imagine, his bills are piling up. Roxanne has health challenges of her own. She suffers tremendously from Rheumatoid Arthritis and is on disability. Our hope, is that we are able to collect enough to not only assist with his current bills and additional care, but also, help Roxanne ease the burden and stress of the accumulating bills. It will allow her the opportunity to relax a little bit and spend the quality time with him that they both need without the taxing emotional, physical, and mental stress of bills and how they’re going to be paid. She deserves to have this time with him be as stress free as possible where the only thing she should focus on is time spent with the love of her life.

Harry is beloved by all who know him. His son David, his grandchildren, his brothers, sisters…his entire family would love nothing more than to make this happen for Roxanne and Harry. But we need your help in making that happen. Will you help us help the helper?
